My personal journey to mental wellbeing coaching
My path into mental health and wellbeing support began at home. As a parent of children with special educational needs, and with all my children experiencing mental health challenges at different points in their lives, I wanted to understand more and be able to support them in the best possible way. This personal experience sparked a deep interest in mental health and led me to work with children in residential care, where my determination to help young people strengthen their wellbeing truly took shape.
To build on this passion, I completed several Level 3 mental health qualifications and began working with a local charity, supporting adults through guided self‑help. During this time, I saw first-hand how powerful the right tools, guidance, and encouragement can be. People were able to make meaningful changes to their lives, their mental health, and their sense of wellbeing — often far more than they believed possible.
After two successful years, I expanded my work to support children and young people in school settings and private practice. I developed structured approaches that helped them understand their emotions, build confidence, and learn practical strategies to manage anxiety and low mood.
This journey, shaped by both personal experience and professional growth, inspired me to create North Star Wellbeing — a service dedicated to helping people of all ages take control of their mental health, build resilience, and move toward a happier, healthier life. My goal is simple: to offer compassionate, practical support that empowers people to navigate challenges and find their own direction.

Your coaching experience: person-centred support
When you work with me, you’ll experience a truly person‑centred, supportive, and non‑judgemental space. My coaching sessions focus on practical tools and techniques that you can use in everyday life, helping you make meaningful changes at a pace that feels right for you. I listen carefully, understand your experiences, and work with you to identify the areas you want to improve. Together, we take steady, manageable steps toward those changes.
A big part of my approach comes from real life, not just theory. I’ve lived through many of the challenges my clients face, and this allows me to offer guidance that is both genuine and relatable. I speak from experience as well as training, which means you’ll receive support that is grounded, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.
With me, you’ll find a safe space, a real connection, and practical strategies that help you move forward with confidence.

What makes my coaching stand out
My coaching is different because it’s built around your needs, your comfort, and your lifestyle. Instead of simply telling you what to do, I work alongside you — helping you explore what’s happening, understand what you want to change, and supporting you as you take practical steps forward.
I offer flexible appointment times wherever possible, making it easier to fit sessions around your daily life. If you prefer not to travel, I can come to your home so you can work in a space where you feel safe and relaxed. For clients who enjoy being outdoors, “walk and talk” sessions are available, offering a calm and refreshing way to work through challenges. And if certain places trigger anxiety, we can visit them together at your pace, helping you build confidence and reduce fear through gentle, supported exposure.
This adaptable, client‑centred approach means you receive support in the way that feels most effective for you. My goal is to help you take control of your mental health journey with guidance that is practical, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs.
